 Puppetry is found in every culture around the world. Our show will showcase the
major styles, beginning with primitive masks, its development in Asia and
travels through Europe. This lighthearted entertaining show will include various
famous puppet characters, trivia, music and staging associated with the
fascinating art form of PUPPETRY!
Ideal for scouts and home schoolers. This 50 min. performance includes a Q & A
session afterwards and an opportunity to try some of the puppets. Optional post

"Peewinkle's Holiday Cabaret"
A puppet production highlighting the
winter festivals around the
world will be held at the historic
Artcraft Theatre on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010
downtown Franklin, IN

 This
large puppet production highlights winter festivals around the world. The
twinkling 36 ft. set is the backdrop for Peewinkle and Eliot as they learn about
Chinese New Year, Christmas, Diwali, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. Large rod puppets,
marionettes, live ballerina and Chinese Lion will delight school children and
scouts from PK-3rd grade. A wonderful field trip to begin the holiday season.
Teachers and youth group leaders will receive an educational packet with
paid reservations.
The Historic Artcraft Theatre was built in 1922 as a movie theatre and
vaudeville house. It was renovated in the late 1940’s to reflect the popular
Art Deco style and features neon lighting inside and outside. It is listed on
the Indiana and National Register of Historic Places.

The 9:30am and 11am performances are scheduled for school field trips.
The
6:30pm performance is ideal for scouts, youth groups and families.

A wonderful music filled Christmas production for the whole family. Mozart and
Ludmilla, the ritzy rodents who live in the piano, host a variety of holiday

Birthday Party Workshops!
 Debbi and Trent are now
available for Birthday Party Puppet Workshops and would love to come visit
you! These workshops are suitable for ages 3 to 9 years. Children will talk
with Trent, make a simple puppet and perform with their puppets. The
workshop is about 30 minutes in length. The fee is $100 and includes
supplies for up to 15 children. Debbi has a variety of puppets to choose
from: Pincesses, fairies, dinosaurs and aliens are but a few! Contact Debbi

Melchior Marionette Theatre

 Visit
our summertime venue at The Melchior Marionette Theatre, Westside of
S. Van Buren St., Nashville, IN. Shows are on Saturdays, starting on
Memorial Day weekend through October. Closed in August. Shows at 1
& 3pm. These 20 minute cabaret marionette shows have been
entertaining tourists for over 25 years!!
NOTE: Tickets to these shows are not for sale online. Please purchase
tickets 20 minutes before show times at the theater, the day of the show.
